You haven’t noticed anything unusual since his return? Nothing I’d complain about. What does that mean? He’s just… different. You think the Rexorians got to him? Of course not.

It’s the year 2520 and the Earth is fucked. So much so that it’s not even called ‘Earth’ anymore. It’s now known as ‘Terra’ and the air is unbreathable. However, there is a shit-ton of Hydran (a substance / element that purifeis Earth’s toxic air) over on Rexor IV, so our lads have been heading over there to pinch it from them. And *they’re* the bad guys, somehow? You’re right, how dare they defend themselves.

Anyway, Malcolm in the Middle’s dad is married to the Babadook’s mum and in a dance as old as time, she’s spretty much a normal woman and he’s a complete dickhead. He’s a high flying colonel – admittedly ravaged by some form of PTSD – but he treats her with utter disdain from the outset. She does her best to cope with him, but he’s sticking by his guns and just being a horrible bastard. To the point of her visiting a weird intergalactic Eyes Wide Shut dungeon in order to feel something other than continual, face-blistering hostility.

In a nutshell, he heads a mission for Hydran to Rexor IV and comes back a completely different person. For the better. Which honestly isn’t that hard. I’ll leave the rest with you to figure out.

What’s weird about this one is that nobody knows what the I. I. A stands for. It’s clearly some kind of planet-wide military defence organisation, but is never mentioned explicitly in the show. The emblem is visible frequently (though very, very small), and seems to be some kind of insignia on all character uniforms. I dunno…international? Agency? Who knows?

Whatever it is, it’s in the breast pocket area and you get to choose from an array of hierarchical army-esque colours. I think. I’m not 100% on how any of that works.
