I Know What Alan Did Last Summer
Price range: £28.00 through £30.00
That was a company which we set up. We looked into its operation and closed it down again. It was inoperable. I wonder if I can walk like this. I could have been R2-D2.
It’s a bit of a versatile word, ‘leisure’, isn’t it? Aside from being a Blur album. You can associate it with time off work, a trip to the swimming baths or purchasing terrible track suits in horrible provincial market towns. For this, we’ll be roughly in the area of the leisure centre. Which is I suppose a place you would only go to when you’re off work. If you’re mental. Actually, the basis is actually spelled ‘center’, for some reason. Probs just blame it on the Americans. Kind of my go to.
As for Tomahawk Leisure itself, we don’t really know what’s happening. It’s only mentioned in ‘I’m Alan Partridge‘ once, when Alan is being badgered by the tax women on the banquette in the second series. You would assume from the name that it’s a precursor to Apache Communications, what with the names roughly relating to Native Americans. Or maybe it was a similar organisation running in tandem.
Either way, it’s pretty literal. An actual tomahawk. Good band, btw. Very music-y this one, wasn’t it? Buy the t shirt, listen to the songs, job done.
