Swinger Seminar 2001

Ignorance is bliss – that to me is the beauty of a coma.

First up with this one – the internet has this down as being about a Brummie couple that own a guest house in the West Midlands. Personally, I think they sound more like the Black Country than Birmingham, hence the Wolverhampton. I don’t know if I’m correct in this, but let’s go with it.

So what’s the Swinger Seminar? Well, throughout the programme Gordon and Sheila come across as fairly amiable, running their business and caring for Sheila’s sister who is comatose in one of the bedrooms. However, half way through they reveal an adjacent room that they’re using a sex dungeon. They claim that when the enivitable happens, they’ll knock through the wall and extend the ‘Play Room’ in the hope of hosting ‘Swing Sem 2001’.

Design for this was tricky, as I’ve no idea what a seminar for swingers would look like visually. I dare say – probably not as, er, upmarket as this. It’s based on a ‘gentleman’s club’ you’ve probably heard of. Clue: it’s not called ‘Peppermint Hippo‘. ‘Upmarket’ he says. Deary me.

The keys are for the bowl. If that’s a thing that ever happened or merely a myth.
